La gente

Here's my good friend Leigh...this started as a sketch of her and cute baby Jack right after she gave birth. He was cute anyway...until Edward made me laugh while I was drawing him...so the drawing of Jack ceased to be cute. Hence, no Jack...

This lady, I call Angry Ingrid, was just that...angry. And she was not too pleased by me staring at her. I've decided I really need to get prescription sunglasses to cover up my staring.

This is just a cute lady. (She didn't notice me staring.)

very nice-- are you using the cool markers Edward mentioned on the BYU illus blog?

yeah, they're prismacolor markers and I LOVE them. it's pretty easy to sketch...I start out with a 10% warm or cool gray and that sketch completely disappears.

yup...I like them. :)

This absolutely is Leigh Harris, and she is so wonderful. Edward and I are moving back, but we don't have a place yet...I drop you a line when things are more solid, and then we can hang out. Hooray.

Mer! You are so talented! And the expression on your new-mom friend's face is so perfectly cpatured. I have felt that look on my own face! And I love the teen Ariel painting, too.
