Contrary to popular belief...

I always found it odd that mermaids live in the deep ocean, but could breath air. Yeah, I know, why am I even talking about this? Mostly because I'm a nerd. But it's a fun vocation :)

...and friends that are interested, my website is under construction and who knows when it will rise from the ashes. Patience. (I know I need it ;)

Haha, so cute. Love the deep sea diver helmet with the teeny fish inside. Great details. And a cute corgi watchdog too!

Oh, to write something so popular a Mermaid would come to land to read it! Good thing she doesn't have a kindle though...

That never made sense to me, either! It's like, do they have lungs or gills? Either way, your illo is a fun approach. I LOVE the old school scuba helmet! Such a great detail.

I always wondered about that, too! I mean do mermaids have gills or lungs or both?! Your illo is a great interpretation, especially the use of the old school diving helmet used in reverse. Great color and details!
